Jesus Christ

No one knows what Jesus looked like.  Artists have tried to paint images of Him. The truth of who He was  is what  He has done for us. In order to understand this, we must first come to a realization of who we are. We are citizens lost in time, and only someone beyond the limits of time can save us.  In T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets, in Part V, “The Dry Salvages," he writes the following.

Men's curiosity searches past and future
And clings to that dimension. But to apprehend
The point of intersection of the timeless
With time, is an occupation for the saint

Having been created by an eternal God, but having fallen away from God, we  live at the point of no return.

Jesus Christ suffered our death for us

Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”

Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. John 18:37-38

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.  And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."  Matthew 3:16-17
